FAQ's
Players will participate in small-sided games, technical drills, and tactical assessments while being
evaluated by our coaching staff. We assess skill level, decision-making, attitude, and overall fit for
our teams.
Offer letters will be sent out on June 1st via email. Players will have one week to accept their roster
spot before spots are offered to waitlisted players.
If you need feedback before June 1st, please reach out, and we can provide an idea of where your
player stands in the evaluation process.
We will notify you if your player is placed on the waitlist. If a roster spot becomes available, we will
contact waitlisted players after the acceptance deadline.
Many clubs pressure families to commit early before they have a chance to evaluate all options. We
encourage parents to be patient and not rush into an early commitment. Our goal is to offer a
competitive and development-focused environment where players can grow over the long term. If
you have any concerns, please talk to us first.
Yes! We understand that families explore multiple options. However, if your child commits to
another club, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible so we can adjust our roster planning
accordingly.
One tryout does not define a player! Our coaches assess overall potential and development
trajectory, not just a single day’s performance. If your child is injured, sick, or has an unavoidable
conflict, please let us know—we may be able to arrange an alternative evaluation.
Our teams train twice per week, with an optional third training session available. League games take place on weekends, and teams may also participate in tournaments and showcases throughout the
season.
Maroons SC is committed to making soccer accessible to all players. If finances are a concern, please reach out and we’ll discuss available options including partial and full scholarships.
Team selection is based on skill level, positional needs, coach evaluations, and overall team
balance. No roster spots are guaranteed, including for returning players. Every player must earn
their place based on performance at tryouts and throughout the season. Some teams will have
multiple openings, while others may have fewer available spots depending on overall player
evaluations.
If your child isn’t selected for a team, we strongly encourage them to continue developing their
skills. We offer clinics and camps throughout the year to help players gain experience and improve
for future tryouts. Follow us on Instagram for updates on upcoming training opportunities.
