Come Train This Summer With UC Sampdoria of the Italian Serie A


Maroons Soccer Club Players & Parents:

This summer, players have the opportunity to train with 1st Division Italian academy trainers right here in Ridgewood, NJ, July 29-31.
The Maroons Soccer Club has partnered with UC Sampdoria of the Italian Serie A (1st division).  This partnership provides Maroons players with the opportunity to train with the professional UC Sampdoria coaches.  These are the same professional coaches who train the Sampdoria academy players, U8 to U18.
UC Sampdoria play at the highest level in Italy, in the Serie A league.  They play Italian giants Inter Milan, AC Milan, Roma and Juventus on a weekly basis.  These coaches train Champions League quality players on a daily basis.
Sampdoria coaches will visit Ridgewood, New Jersey July 29-31 to work with Maroons and other area players.  
In addition to the inspiration and guidance these coaches will share with each player, the Sampdoria coaches will also identify players who have the potential to develop into world class level players.  These players will be invited to visit the US Sampdoria Academy in Genoa, Italy in spring 2015.  Selected players, male and female, will train and play at the Sampdoria facilities in Italy along side the Sampdoria Academy players.  
Training sessions on are divided by age groups and run 2 hours each day.  Boys and girls, players of all abilities, and all players outside of Maroons Soccer Club are invited to come be inspired by, and learn from, these Italian professional coaches.  Sessions are planned as follows:

U8-U9:  9am-11am


U10-U12:  12pm-2pm


U13 and above:  3pm-5pm


All sessions are at Stevens Field (the turf field behind Ridgewood High School)

Additionally, Maroons Soccer Club is seeking appropriate host families for the Sampdoria coaches during their stay.  Ideal host families will have a separate room and bathroom in their house.  Host family will be able to transport the coach from their home to the training facility and back.  This hosting opportunity provides a more intimate interaction with and understanding of the Italian coaches.  If you are interested in being considered as a host family, please email Maroons Soccer Club director of player development & coaching, Mike Cobb at .
